LeMooveNeMent, a contemporary dance company, is an associative structure committed to supporting and developing the living link between artistic creation and social issues, through research, teaching, and performance around the BODY and MOVEMENT.

 

LeMooveNeMent is interested in cultural and political exchanges and questions in a network with other actors, in order to share and build new forms of knowledge together.

 

LeMooveNeMent was founded in Montpellier in 2006 with the aim of supporting intercultural creations for the stage, and offering dance workshops and courses in France and abroad, notably with the support of the CDC of Ouagadougou for the company's first choreographic creation in 2005-2006 "Ton mouvement à nous".

 

For ten years, and in a spirit of accessibility to dance for all, the Company has been working in the Maisons pour tous (Houses for All) in the city of Montpellier and the Hérault department, for dance companies, in schools and childcare centers, and also in theaters and public spaces.

 

LeMooveNeMent is involved in Sara Jaleco's collaborative projects, notably in Portugal with the LAGOA collective. The approach to the body through the practice of somatic education Body-Mind Centering® deepens choreographer Sara Jaleco's work on the qualities of body and presence and strongly colors a dance approach through a sensitive and embodied reflection of our experience in the world. In this line of work, various co-creation projects emerge. LeMooveNeMent defends art as a force for social transformation: through each gesture and action, we wish to deploy a thought in space and propose a reflection via the living body.
